Draining blisters: sterile needle, clean hands, then protect
Intact skin is a barrier; if a blister is not painful, sometimes leaving it alone is wisest.

If pressure is unbearable, wash hands and skin, use a sterile needle at the edge, express fluid gently, leave roof skin when possible.
Apply antiseptic and a hydrocolloid or foam dressing; change daily or when wet.
Red streaks, fever, or spreading warmth mean clinic time—do not march through infection.
